About me and the DVD…
A little bit about me….. .
I have 24 years in retailing (and counting) and absolutely LOVE what I do. My passion is coaching, leading and developing great managers and leaders. I am currently a field leader with Gap Inc./Old Navy. My background includes 8 years as a Regional Manager and 2 years as a District Manager for American Eagle Outfitters where I was awarded 7 consecutive Diamond Council Awards for Leadership, as well as, Regional Supervisor of the Year. Prior to joining AE, I spent 14 years with Champs Sports as we started the brand and served as a District Manager, Regional Vice-President and VP/Sales Administrator (Director of Stores). I have enjoyed a tremendous retail ride.

What about this name, seriously? Here’s the dealio: I am famous for leaving a voicemail to my entire team every day of the year (okay, nearly every day). My voice is probably more famous than my face. This voicemail energized the team each day on what mattered most and usually contained a learning nugget. That philosophy is now translating to this platform — the written form in a blog. And “dealio”? Well, I just love that word. It’s fun and life is too short not to have fun.
So here’s how it works:

We currently have over 50 different retail shops represented in just our subscribers and we have had visitors from over 90 countries. The home page is all the posts in chronological order. Each article is also housed in a category – see the right sidebar – over there →. Go to the category you are interested in and excerpts of the articles available are there. Just click on “Full Article” at the end of the excerpt to read those articles you are interested in.
There will always be an option to comment at the end of articles. You are strongly encouraged to participate by commenting and contributing your thoughts, feedback, and ideas through comments. I welcome all suggestions.

I am in love with your blog! I know it seems strange that a numbers cruncher like myself is interested in retail inspiration but I am a true believer in the concept of a business, any business, only succeeding in the framework of a team working for the same goal. What inspires the sales person can also inspire the corporate slaves (revenue eaters that create checks, balances, processes and controls). You are doing great things here but anyone that knows you wouldn’t expect anything different!
